does anyone know how to animate sword trails?
if you do, can you, like, explain it to me?
cuz it would be very useful in an animation i'm workin on.

    Then explain it Pin.

It's a code you can make in action script. Or you can draw them yourself.

    [In-Depth]
    1. First, draw a small trail with the line tool. (Curve the lines any way you like.)
    2. Select the color you would like to use as your trail, then copy the code for the color. (IE: #000000)
    3. Fill in the trail you made with the color.
    4. Delete the black lines so that only the color for the trail is showing.
    5. Select the color trail.
    6. Go into the Color Mixer and select "Linear".
7.Paste the color code into the preset color code bar.
    8."Enter"
    9. Use the Fill tool to drag the line of brightness around the trail. (IE: drag downwards for the white to appear at the bottom of the trail.)

Don't worry, it sounds a LOT more complicated than it really is. If you still have questions, i can record myself demonstrating how to do it.

I think of it more as when you draw your sword movements. Draw a line at the tip of the blade. Curve the line to where its showing where the blades previous angle and position. Play it a few times to see if it looks right. Mess with the curve until it looks right to you.

When it all looks right make a line from the middle or base of the blade to the tip of your previous line. Curve that line to look identical to your first. It should look kind of like a curved triangle. Fill the triangle in with whatever color of your choosing. Now you have your trail. Very Happy

    Hoped I helped.
